Luke Scott is our Head Brewer...

Luke studied Chemical Engineering & Commerce before commencing brewing with Carlton & United Breweries in 2000 in their Research & Development division known then as Brewtech. Afterward, Luke travelled to Europe where he honed his skills and passion for beer & brewing working at Meantime Brewery in London & Managing the Cellar and Bar Operations at the famous White Horse Hotel in Parsons Green. Upon his return to Australia, Luke became Head Brewer with the Hunter Beer Co - Potters Brewery in the Hunter Valley NSW. In late 2007 Luke returned to Victoria to take up the Head Brewer position with the Prickly Moses team. Luke not only has a passion for craft beer but also the history of beer and its traditions. He uses this passion to create some of our unique beers such as our Chainsaw, Saison & Blueberry Hefeweizen, as well as our day to day ever popular core beers in the Prickly Moses range. Luke lives all things beer and brewing, and is really passionate and excited with the direction that the Australian Craft Beer Industry is heading.

With a background in farming and horticulture, Luke took a sideways step into brewing in 2014 and hasn't looked back.  As well as being busy brewing the beer you love, you can often find "JJ" endlessly scraping out the mash tun, helping out crushing the apples for our Organic Cider, or even manning our mobile bar at off-site events.

Tony is a man who likes to get things done. Orginally from the Great Ocean Road region in Apollo Bay, Tony is now based in Melbourne, Tony heads up our sales team and is constantly on the road speaking with our retail outlet partners where he spreads the Prickly Moses love. Without him, you'd find it pretty hard to find a Prickly Moses Handcrafted Beer. Likewise, if you're a pub, club, bottle shop or restaurant and you'd like to stock Prickly Moses Handcrafted Beer, Tony is your man.

Hamish Spalding - Cider man

Hamish Spalding is the "Cider Man" at Otway Brewing for our range of ciders called Forbidden Fruit Cider. He is often experimenting with different flavours and varieties of ciders to create something special just for you. Hamish and Otway Brewing work closely with a local Organic Apple grower to support the district and highlight what wonderful produce we have in the region. Hamish has been with Otway Brewing since the day the first brew was pitched. He is our "Jack of all Trades" with his vast experience he has the answer , and knows very trick in the book for what ever issue may arise. If its a good laugh you want then Hamish is your man!!!

Rosie Heaton-Harris - Offsite Event Coordinator 

Rosie originally started working with Otway Estate in 2008 assisting with our first Otway Oktoberfest as part of her work placement while studying Tourism and Events, continuing on in 2009 to complete an Advanced Diploma of Events and Tourism. Over the years Rosie has done a range of different things with us but now she is our Off Site Events Co-ordinator.
